TRYOUTS 2021/2022

Tryouts for interested players will be handled on a case by case basis. Please contact with any questions

Is everyone required to attend both(2) days of scheduled tryouts?

Yes. It is highly recommended that players attend ALL tryout days. If a player absolutely cannot attend one or both days, pre-register for tryouts and indicate in the comments section that the player will miss the actual tryout dates on the registration. Notify and the player's current F.C Brighton coach (if applicable) that the player will miss tryouts. Coaches will make a note of this and work with the player to organize an evaluation.

What will tryouts consist of?

Players will be evaluated on all pillars of the game (technical, tactical, physical, psycho-social). There will be some technical/physical sessions to start and then move into small sided (4v4, 7v7, 9v9) sessions to evaluate in game situations.

When will players receive a communication of their standing?

All players should know within 48 hours of tryouts completing.

Are parents allowed on the field during tryouts?

No. Please do not join your child on the field. Players, evaluators, coaches, and directors are the only ones permitted on the field during tryouts. If a parent is needed, one of the F.C. Brighton staff will find them.

Is every player (even club members) required to register on-line?

Yes Regsiter Here

What time should players check-in at the field?

Players should check-in at the field 30 minutes prior to each session

What if the inclemate weather arises prior to or during tryouts?

F.C. Brighton recomends parents stay close if inclemate weather is a possibility. Players need to have a safe place to take shelter, such as a car, during dangerous weather. If the weather is severe enough to postpone tryouts new schedules will be posted on the tryouts page and registered players will be notified via email.
