RECREATIONAL SOCCER
Age Groups
The F.C. Brighton Recreational program includes age groups U5-U8. Players are placed in age brackets based on the year they were born. Please refer to the age chart to determine correct placement for your child.
Players advance to the next age group each fall season, therefore all players at the U5 age level in the fall will continue to be in the U5 in the spring as well.
Season Dates
Our fall recreation season runs from August to late October. Registration for the fall season begins in early June and closes mid August. Coaches meetings are held in late August, after which your coach will contact you with details about the upcoming season.
Our spring recreation season runs from March to May. Registration for the spring season begins late November and closes in March.
Coaches
Each U5-U8 team will be assigned a parent or community volunteer to coach to team. F.C. Brighton will provided curriculum and mentorship from our Directors of Coaching.
All of our parent volunteer coaches must submit a background check.

Practices
Practices start March 29, 2023
Wednesdays Evening
One 60 min weeknight group practice
Group sessions will be facilitated by our Recreational Director of Coaching and staffed by our volunteer coaches.
There are generally 9-10 weeks of practices
Games
Games start March 31, 2023
Fridays Evenings
U5/6 teams are co-ed and play interleague games, meaning they play against other teams within our club.
All games are played on Friday nights in Brighton at our home field.
Teams should expect to play 8 games per season.

Roster Size

Games are played as 3v3 or 4v4 depending on team size with no Goal Keeper
Teams are co-ed with 5-7 players per team
